Are we supposed to rank opinions according to the school of the person who made them? That seems to be what some Pinoys want.
I am not against celebrating academic achievement, and to the degree that the selectiveness of schools and credentials are indicative of native intelligence and drive, I will profess. But your being a graduate of Harvard or Princeton, or that you can talk of Hobbes, or argue in German does not impress me in itself. Not especially if you then denigrate people outside your little clique based on what school they went to, or the grammar they use.

I believe an opinion should be viewed on its own merits. Problem is some people try to hide their hate behind their diploma.
